Wesson continues to keep us on our toes and also continues to amaze us with his strength and resilience...
And with last weeks MRD results revealing him to be in an almost remissed state....we move onward toward an innovative clinical trial that includes Logan's Natural Killer Cells apheresed...grown in the laboratory...expanded and modified...and then infused into Wesson in order to officially wipe out the ugly leukemia that has aggressively invaded his body for nearly six months. The tentative plan is to go to Bone Marrow Transplant in June with a nearly perfect unrelated donor match from an uknown volunteer. A flood of emotions has invaded us as a family....we are scared, nervous, excited....but most of all just enjoying our son to the fullest....

The past few weeks have involved some firsts for our family....including Wesson's first Easter, piggy back rides in the halls of St. Jude...and even a first taste of beef jerky....

First piggy back ride ever!

Wesson loved the first one so much...he had to go back for seconds...

Napping in the medicine room after a long day of clinic appointments and a three hour blood transfusion....

Looking great...this is blood transfusion # 21 for Wesson and I must say I have never seen this much color on his cheeks. Lovin' it!

Lookin' great Wes....First time he really noticed his own reflection, and let me tell you -- many kisses were involved! Muah!

Although far from home...our family has never felt closer to each other.....

Thank goodness for Grandma and Grandpa -- who came to visit over Easter Break. Where would we be without you?!

All dressed up for Easter Sunday.

Yep...that smart bunny knew he could find us in Memphis, TN!

And although Wesson could not participate in the Easter Egg Hunt ....big brother was kind enough to hunt out some yummy candy for him.
A huge thanks  goes out to the amazing kind-hearted staff at the Target House of St. Jude for putting on this wonderful Egg Hunt for the kids here....we cannot say enough how much it is well-appreciated!

The boys...only moments after recieving the call that Wesson had finally responded to the chemotherapy regimen that was not expected to work. As a mother I cannot explain the emotions that had rushed in....all that I could do was smile and take pictures!

Wesson  refuses to eat baby food --- but quivers with excitement at the sight of some jerky!

The bond between our boys continues to grow stronger every day. Just the sight of Keegan makes Wesson smile. Love and laughter are the best medicines....and these two are living proof of that. Keegan continues to ask "When can we take Wesson home to our 'old' house?" Soon Keegan...very soon....
